Novemberfest

On Saturday 2nd November Sydney's German International School will welcome Sydneysiders to Novemberfest – with an array of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.  From giant slides and bungee trampolines to the obligatory face painting and a haunted house – Novemberfest is set to be a family friendly all day festival!   Visitors will also be tempted to eat their way around the globe with a cornucopia of authentic fare including German favourites such as bratwurst, currywurst and flammkuchen as well as our school bus drivers showcasing their Greek Souvlaki!  A parent retreat café will offer a delicious selection of homemade sweet treats including Swiss and European cakes, biscuits and waffles.

They're creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky – young and old alike will be entertained by Tony Scalas, a 40 year veteran reptile handler.  Get up close and personal with, Crush – the salt water croc, blue tongue lizards, turtles and even a black headed python.

Sporting enthusiasts can enjoy wheelie good fun with Gym Wheel gymnastics - regular demonstrations held throughout the day introducing this unique and interesting sport to festival goers. While an all-day five-nation invitational soccer tournament will delight football fans with schools in the area competing for the overall championship.

A visual feast for art lovers – budding artists go on display from just three years old to 10 year in a special student art auction.
