Australian Olympic swimming champion Nicole Livingstone O.A.M has been announced as the official brand ambassador for Salin Plus, the world's only salt therapy device suitable for home use.

Question: What is the Salin Plus device?

Question: Why does your family love the Salin Plus device?

Nicole Livingstone: As the parent of three young children, I know the stress respiratory health issues can cause not only for the child, but the whole family. Lack of sleep due to respiratory problems – blocked noses and persistent coughs to name just two – can have a negative impact on their concentration at school and willingness to participate in extra curricular activities. Question: What hay fever symptoms do parents need to look for in their kids?

Nicole Livingstone: Runny noses, itchy watery eyes, snuffles and general irritability due to lack of sleep are always signs of hay fever for me.


Question: How do you ensure health remains number one whilst being an extremely busy mum?

Nicole Livingstone: I try to do all the things I know I am supposed to do! The whole family starts the day with a green smoothie, I eat really well, and I drink lots of water.

Good hygiene is a big focus as well for me, hard to lose that, when it was drilled into us as swimmers!

I still swim a few times a week and I have a spin bike at home I get on at least 3 times a week.

Most importantly though is getting good quality sleep, if I can't recharge my own energy levels, then I find I'm sluggish, hence why I am keen to let the Salin Plus do all the work while I sleep! I know I will sleep easy and wake up feeling good when it's on beside me!


Question: What's next for you?

Nicole Livingstone: My big kids (twins) are starting secondary school in 2015, so that will be a big year of transition and my little guy is the kind of kid who just goes and goes til he drops, so I'm always on my toes with him! We've got more swimming racing next year that I'll commentate on as we head toward the Rio Games. Hopefully in all this busy thing called -life', there is time for holidays - we've just bought a camper trailer, and a lot of laughter!
