Newtown Festival

Now in its 35th year, one of Sydney's largest and longest running free community festivals; Newtown Festival returns Sunday 10 November 2013 to Camperdown Memorial Rest Park. Held as a way to promote and celebrate the diverse Newtown community and raise awareness of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and it's programs, Newtown Festival has grown from its humble beginnings in the late 1970's to the immensely popular event it is now. Never losing its identity as an event grown for the community, by the community, festival goers are invited to give a gold coin donation at the festival entrance with all money raised returned to the Centre to provide support services to the local community.
