National Op Shop Week 2017

To celebrate National Op Shop Week 2017 Salvos Stores is giving consumers an insight into the lifecycle of donated products to spread awareness of the importance of reusing, reinventing and upcycling.

In 2016, Salvos Stores diverted 30,000 tonnes of donated items from landfill. Across Australia 83% of women have clothes in their wardrobe that they have only worn once or twice, and 62% own clothes that have never been worn or still have tags on.

During National Op Shop Week, from Sunday 27th August – Saturday 2nd September 2017, the organisation is holding in-store events across NSW, QLD and ACT to encourage more people to shop at Salvos Stores and donate unwanted items to help the environment and those in need.
