Our lips are sealed- but only in lipstick by Napoleon Perdis.

Celebrate the return of lipstick with two new DeVine Goddess Lipstick shades.

"I never forget that a women's first job is to choose the right shade of lipstick." So said the bawdy thirties screen siren Carole Lombard, and this season Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics is also drawing attention to the role of lipstick. Napoleon Perdis is expanding his legendary lipstick collection, Devine Goddess, with two arresting new shades, elevating the line to 18 singularly beautiful colours. "It's time to put that gloss down and revisit the allure of lipstick," says Perdis, "and we have a shade for every mood." The DeVine Goddess collection is informed by mythological beauties- like Aphrodite, a brilliant blue-red- and modern-day muses. "Lipstick is the perfect year-round accessory," adds Perdis.

Joining the vibrant collection are new shades Anna and Lianna, as different from each other as their inspirations. The former is named for Anna Vissi, the Athens-based, multi-platinum recording sensation often referred to as the 'Greek Madonna'. "She is an undeniable beauty, an icon in Europe and we've worked together several times," says Perdis. The latter shade is named for Perdis's eldest daughter, a gorgeous 10-year-old girl who already has strong opinions on the subject of lip colour. "Lianna has grown up around makeup and she actually has great taste. Of course she won't be wearing it until she's older!"

Like the rest of the DeVine Goddess collection, both shades have a creamy, dreamy texture and are longlasting. "Still, there's something so lovely about taking time out in your day to reapply your lipstick, whether you do it with the reflective blade of a dinner knife or a mirrored compact," says Perdis. There's no denying that lipstick equates with knockout glamour, as testified by strong lip statements on the runways and the red carpet of late. "More than anything, lipstick can help you tap into your inner goddess," adds Perdis, who has definitive application techniques to share. At Napoleon Perdis lipstick is on the uptick.

DeVine Goddess- Anna
This ravishing raspberry shade glides on with creamy ease, lends itself to exceptional wear and provides a shot of dewy sparkling shine. Laced with emollient-rich sugars, it's also a nourishing treat for lips.

Pro-Tip Use a lip brush and build your coverage a little at a time. Always be sure to apply your lipstick all the way into the corners of the lips on both the top and the bottom. Do not apply over the outer edge of the lip line. Don't forget to press your lips together slightly to ensure an even application.

DeVine Goddess- Lianna
A delicious sheer nude that creates a lustrous finish without overpowering colour. A moisture-rich based, including Marigold extract and a high percentage of shiny oils, create a full, sexy pout every time.

Pro-Tip It's a common misconception that you should line the lips before you apply the colour-not so! Apply your lipstick and then use a pencil to line around the edges. The liner will glide on more smoothly, leaving a more natural outline but still preventing the lip colour from bleeding.

Napoleon Perdis picked up his first makeup brush at the age of 13 to help his glamorous mother primp for a soiree. Since then the self-taught makeup artist has long dreamed of spreading his glamour gospel. A native of Sydney, Australia, and now based in Los Angeles, Perdis has always sought to demystify makeup, and transform runway and red carpet trends to reality. The Napoleon Perdis philosophy is not dictated by fashion: it's about accenting your natural beauty with confidence-building products. Last year, in addition to taking his company global, the leading artist launched a new line exclusively for Target, NP Set. Perdis is also still an in-demand makeup artist. Since its unveiling in the U.S., the brand has attracted celeb fans including Jessica Szohr, AnnaLynne McCord, Lindsay Lohan, Leighton Meester, Debra Messing, Jessica Lowndes, Shenae Grimes, Melissa George, Amanda Bynes and Hilary and Hayley Duff among others.
