Microsoft Store Experiences

With the lights shining bright in Sydney from last week, the Microsoft Store at Pitt St Mall is excited to present a range of technology experiences for Sydney-siders – from Thursdays through Sundays, 2nd to 18th June.

Offering something for everyone, the Microsoft Flagship Store, Sydney, welcomes shoppers to experience its special light activations incorporating technology from colour to code; through light-up prisms, virtual reality, coding adventures and quirky programming inventions.

Colour: The Microsoft Colour Lab
Interact with the visible colour spectrum, and name and claim your very own colour.
Whether it's Black Nightfall or Alien Slime Green, watch your custom colour come to life through light-up pyramids in store.
The customer with the most creative colour name stands to win the light and powerful Microsoft Surface Pro 4, with a Type Cover keyboard!
The competition closes at 8pm on 18th June, so Participants are encouraged to drop by and try their hand at the Colour Lab while their favourite shades are still available.


Create: Virtual Reality with HTC Vive
For endless fun and possibilities, children and adults alike can immerse themselves in the world of virtual reality through new and exclusive games on the HTC Vive.
Create fantastic contraptions, take control of the skies, play virtual mini golf, groove to the beats with glowing orb shields and train your ninja skills with flying fruit!
 
Code: DIY Coding & Raspberry PI Programming
Explore a vibrant digital universe and embark on a coding adventure, through free 90-minute workshops where children can learn how creativity and problem solving come together to solve challenges with code.
5th, 11th, 12th, 18th June | 3.30-5pm
10th June | 5.30-7pm

Experiment with DIY programming in a unique and fun-filled way, with the tiny but powerful Raspberry PI. Facilitated by Microsoft developer, Dave Glover, participants can go from idea to invention in just one sitting!
9th June | 6.30-7.30pm
11th June | 5.30-6.30pm

In addition, to warm up this winter, customers in store in the late afternoons will be treated to a creamy cup of hot chocolate.
