Australian Hip-Hop artists from across the country have come together to stand behind photographer Michelle Grace Hunder in an unprecedented show of support for her upcoming photo book, -Rise'. The coffee table book features over 100 original photos, comprised of live, studio and portrait shots of Australian Hip-Hop artists including Drapht, Seth Sentry, Illy, Pez, Spit Syndicate, Remi, Mantra, M-Phazes, Hau Latukefu and many more. Michelle has been working tirelessly over the last two years capturing shots of Australia's favourite local Hip-Hop stars from way-back-when, through to the next crop of local talent. Calling the book Rise, as a representation of the immense growth period in Australian Hip-Hop, the book is slated for a Q1 release in 2014.
A completely independent, 100% self-funded project, Michelle has started a Pozible campaign in an effort to raise money for the initial production costs of her book. People can show their support for RISE by pledging different amounts in return for a variety of rewards. Offering book pre-orders, bookmarks, posters, gig tickets, artist meet n greets, photo shoot with MGH and a range of other rewards, Michelle hopes to raise the $17,343 needed to make RISE a reality.
