Question: What can you tell us about Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove?
Matvey Matveev: Treasure Trove is an amazing show which mixes Disney magic and skating skills of every single performer. The show has a bit for every single generation of Disney fans. Starting from the all famous Toy Story round up where we prepare crowd for an awesome time with us by teaching them some crazy dance moves. Then we move to Alice in Wonderland followed by Peter Pan with a great pirate number that everyone will love! Second part of the show will begin with the Lion King story and amazing pair number performed by Simba and Nala. After that you will see an all-time loved Snow White And The Seven dwarfs, Aladdin and Jasmine's story and a great Ali Parade. Then we will go deep Under The Sea to meet Ariel. We will see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled where Rapunzel will show how skilled she is in handling a frying pan. At the end Tiana and Naveen will try to dig a little deeper to find out who we are. And, a great finale where you will see all of the princess and princes. Of course Mickey and Minnie Mouse will guide you through the Treasure Trove with Goofy and Donald Duck!
Question: What character do you play in Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove?
Matvey Matveev: I'm playing a handsome thief Flynn Rider from Disney cartoon Tangled.
Question: What are you enjoying most about taking on the role of charming Flynn Rider?
Matvey Matveev: First of all he is very handsome guy, just like me. And, also his body language is funny, he says "How is your day going... blondie" to make every single day better. But of course my favorite part is when Rapunzel knocks me down with her famous frying pan. That moment makes the whole crowd go nuts.
Question: Do you share any of Flynn Rider's characterises or personality traits?
Matvey Matveev: I feel like Flynn Rider and I have a lot of in common. I love his charisma and personality. In a real life I am kinda like him except for the thief part. My girlfriend Sofie Roberg also plays Rapunzel in the show, so I'm just like him in real life!
Question: Did you watch the film Tangled before rehearsals began?
Matvey Matveev: Yes, and not only once. I love this film. Sometimes I watch it with my girlfriend Sofie Roberg, over our candy and snacks night.
Question: What do you enjoy most about touring with Disney On Ice?
Matvey Matveev: It's so much fun, every piece about being a part of such an amazing show is already paying off any complication of living on the road. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and places. It's a great opportunity to learn more about history and lifestyle of a new country. Meeting new people and trying a truly new flavors of a local food.
Question: What are you looking forward to most about performing in Australia?
Matvey Matveev: For me Australia is like a dreamland, so far, far away and so close at the same time. I met a lot of Australians, and they are awesome and good looking! I'm excited to see a difference in flora and fauna and try to spend some time up on the surfboard, or mostly by it in the water.
Question: What was most difficult about learning all the choreography for Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove?
Matvey Matveev: It's not that difficult to learn. We all are professional skaters, so it's a part of our job to learn it quick and perform it easy. And every single number in our show is a truly an art of inspiration and passion of our choreographers.
Question: Is there a specific character or part you'd like to perform for Disney On Ice, next?
Matvey Matveev: We all have an amazing chance to perform different characters in the show. So far I'm understudy for a couple different characters like Capitan Hook from Peter Pan and Simba from Lion King. I can't choose my favorite one because they are all fun to do, but number one for me is Flynn Rider that I'm already doing that.
Question: What would we find you doing on your day off?
Matvey Matveev: Of course I have my own daily routine like making a breakfast or going to the gym. But part of my day off usually includes sightseeing and exploring new places. I enjoy finding a cool local bar or just a cute park where I can walk around with a cup of coffee. Taking some online study courses are fun; my last goal was to get Personal Trainer certificate and I achieved that last summer. Right now I am looking forward to learning a new language, maybe it will be a Swedish.
