Occupation/Title:
Radio idiot

Company/Organization:
Fox FM (in Melbourne)

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A chef and then a lawyer. For work experience I went to the By Laws Office in the local council because I thought it would be where the lawyers were. Instead I joined the dogcatcher for the week.

How did you get to where you are today?

By car.

Have your career expectations changed along the way?

Absolutely - I'm much less starry eyed about the people I work with and meet. Most people are a lot more normal than you imagine.

What is a fun aspect of your job?

All of it except for getting up so early but its more than compensated for by having afternoons off. Bakers and Greengrocers get up earlier than I do and are still there at the end of the day. The best part of my day is mucking around in the office after the show finishes.

What is the worst aspect of your job?

See earlier answer, as I'm too lazy to type it again.

What is the best advice given to you?

With regards to my on air role... "If in doubt...leave it out."

Can you name anyone in particular who has played an integral role along the road to your success?
Peter Moon and Michael Veitch were my first real role models in radio.

Have you ever had a mentor or still have one now?

I think the De-Generation were a bit like that for me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Level 3 - Myer Bourke Street - "Good afternoon shoppers and can I introduce you to our wonderful specials in Manchester..."

What is your ultimate dream?

To visit the Tour de France.

Put the following in order of importance to you: Money, Happiness, Success, Recognition, Personal Fulfillment.

Happiness...which I believe can be bought with...Money
Personal Fulfillment
Success
Recognition
