Mattel recruits kids for dream job as toy reviewer!
Not since Charlie took the reigns of the Chocolate Factory have kids been eligible to snap up the world's best job for juniors, but this year Mattel is offering kids the opportunity of a lifetime - to become an official Trainee Toyologist!
A top job for kids across the country, Mattel is searching for two Trainee Toyologists aged between four and eight years old to join the elite toy-testing team for a 12 month contracted position.
The Trainee Toyologists' first assignment will take place at Mattel's secret Toy Lab at Mattel HQ in Melbourne where the successful applicants will be responsible for testing, reporting and reviewing Mattel's top 12 toys for Christmas.
Post Christmas, the Trainee Toyologists will provide monthly reports that review a range of the latest Mattel products to assist their colleagues in the Toy Lab. Their hard work won't go unrewarded either with a hefty salary paid in the currency of fun...TOYS!
Mattel's Chief Toyologist, Adam Hyman, says that Mattel is looking for young and enthusiastic kids who are passionate about toys:
"Who better to test and assess the top toys for Christmas than the kids who love them?"
"Having kids on the Mattel team to test and review our toys will help us to understand exactly what makes children tick and ensure we select only the finest merchandise to hit the shelves," said Adam.
Hopeful applicants will be required to prove to the Chief Toyologist why they are the most qualified kid for the job via a video application. Taking the form of a toy review, each budding Trainee Toyologist is required to submit a one minute video of themselves reviewing their favourite toy. The job vacancies are open now and will remain open until 5pm on Friday 30th October 2009. To upload an application, log onto
