M.A.D.E FOR FUN Free Winter School Holiday Program

M.A.D.E is the perfect destination for families during winter with a stimulating range of activities for the school holidays from Monday June 30th – Friday July 11th.

The July school holidays can always be tough to entertain kids with winter weather making indoor play a must. The Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (M.A.D.E) offers the perfect solution to the winter blues with a stimulating range of school holiday activities aimed at children of all ages.

Come and immerse yourself in a range of digital and hands on activities that provide an entertaining way for young learners to experience history, arts and technology. This July, the program is themed around choices and how we make them.

On the wall in the entry foyer of M.A.D.E lies the saying, 'decisions are made by those who show up" and visitors will be encouraged to get involved while they explore this interactive exhibition.

Operating daily throughout the school holidays from 10am – 5pm, M.A.D.E for Fun is free for all visitors upon admission.

Family passes to M.A.D.E itself are only $35 (Ballarat locals are free) and Ballarat is a short and exciting train ride for children from Melbourne.

The July program features:

Cyber-Story Time
Young listeners will be captivated with an interactive -choose your own adventure' tale, where the audience decides what happens next. With plenty of plot twists and turns, the story will never be the same twice and can be recreated again and again.

The Possibility Path
Designed to take children through a maze of different words, pictures and objects, this self-guided worksheet will give school holiday visitors the choice of how to explore the exhibition and get them making decisions about what to see and where to head next.

Yes, No, Maybe Craft Activity
Children will literally have a ball as they design their own fortune-telling device in M.A.D.E's craft room. Once colourfully decorated and constructed, ask it questions and this fun little object will decide your destiny. Are you prepared for what it might say?

Prize Draw
