h3>Madame Tussauds Sydney's Preparation in Full Swing In the lead up to the launch of the first ever Madame Tussauds in Australia, wax figures of two iconic Australian personalities have been unveiled to ramp up the excitement.
This month, one of Australia's most iconic actors, Guy Pearce, was unveiled clothed in full drag regalia. Guy Pearce's wax figure is dressed as the unforgettable Felicia Jollygoodfellow from The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (1994), and was introduced in a setting which captured the spirit of the Australian outback.
Also introduced amid the buzz of the Grand Prix was the wax figure of Australian sportsman, Mark Webber. Webber is the first Australian sportsman to feature in the attraction's star-studded line up and features his iconic Red Bull Racing suit.
Webber said, " When Madame Tussauds approached me about including me in its Sydney collection, I was rapt. It was fun working with the team in London to make a second version of myself, particulary my varying five o'clock shadow! I hope everyone enjoys seeing me in full-scale; I think it's an incredible and accurate representation and I'm still amazed at how perfect they matched everything, particulary my eyes, which is spooky!
The Guy Pearce and Mark Webber wax figures are two of many extraordinary wax figures that will be on show when Madame Tussauds Sydney opens its doors in Darling Harbour.
