To celebrate the launch of Logitech's fashion inspired Spring-Summer Collection mouse range, Logitech is challenging you to bring fashion to an everyday item, for the chance to win a trip to Japan, valued at over $7,000. Borne of the realisation that we love our tres chic fashion items like sky high heels, tiny dresses and the not-so-warm skinny scarves, just as much as our practical faves like trackies and enviro bags, Logitech wants to see the worlds of fashion and function combine.
Whether it be your coffee cup, trainers, backpack or a bike helmet, budding designers can head to Logitechcollection.com to upload a 300dpi sketch of their fashion meet function fusion for the chance to score a design experience, Japanese style. As the Logitech Limited Edition Spring-Summer Collection mouse range combines colourful, cutting-edge fashion designs with features to satisfy any 'techie', the Logitech Fashion Meets Function Design Challenge is about giving everyday items a distinctive, fashionable edge - whilst not compromising all the practical benefits that we love.
To judge the challenge, Logitech has called on the talents of Billy Blue's College of Design's Program Director of Brand Fashion, Dr. Mieke Leppens. Having 25 years experience in the international design arena, working in the fields of fashion design, fashion marketing and design education, Dr. Mieke will be assessing the merits of each entry, before the lucky winner being announced on 10th January 2011.
