Live are headlining a -'one off'' show in Melbourne and this is the first time Australian audiences will be introduced to new frontman, Chris Shinn, who joined the band in 2012. According to critics in the US, Chris has been a welcome replacement, in a band that dominated the charts and packed out arenas around the world.
Says Shinn of Live's pending visit 'Australia has been at the top of our list since I joined Līve. This will be my first trip there and to say I'm excited would be a huge understatement. The bands history with Australia is legendary. Getting to reconnect with that is going to be epic!"
Live achieved worldwide success with their 1994 album, Throwing Copper, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million in merely two years. Rolling Stone and MTV both dubbed the album "one of the 25 Greatest Rock Albums of All-Time", while taste makers from Spin to The New York Times lauded it with equal praise. They have since gone on to sell over 22 million albums worldwide and Live has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut.
Their latest album, The Turn, marks the band's ninth studio album and original members, Chad Taylor (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (Bass & Percussion), Chad Gracey (Drums & Percussion), who are joined by Chris Shinn (Lead Vocals & Guitar), have re-invigorated its sound with effusive energy and massive hooks.
