The resort is buzzing with the delight of new snowfall, as the winter wonderland wakes from the opening weekend with a huge outdoor Sneaky Sound System concert as well as the spectacular fireworks display, all of which were enjoyed by former Miss Universe Australia, Laura Dundovic.

Thredbo – Australia's No. 1 Ski Resort – welcomed snowfall to the village on opening weekend as the resort continued to celebrate with a range of exciting events and activities to bring in the 2014 winter snow season. The resort is buzzing with the delight of new snowfall, as the winter wonderland wakes from last night's huge outdoor Sneaky Sound System concert, presented by Corona Extra as well as the spectacular fireworks display, all of which were enjoyed by former Miss Universe Australia, Laura Dundovic.

Thanks to cooler temperatures on Friday night, the resort was able to make snow across the resort allowing guests to wake on Saturday morning to the wonders of Thredbo's brand new snow play area, where they threw snowballs, rode snow tubes and made snowmen and snow angels. Visitors to Thredbo also marvelled at the work of award winning ice sculptor Kenji Ogawa, who crafted a unique Thredbo creation, designed especially for the resort's Opening Weekend celebrations.

As the sun set over the mountain onlookers were treated to an enormous fireworks display which exploded against the beautiful mountain scenery. The stellar visual display ignited the Thredbo Alpine Village, before it transformed into party central for the jam-packed Sneaky Sound System concert which rocked the entire village. Arguably one of Australia's best dance music groups with chart-topping hits and international success, the ARIA Award winning dance act rocked out to a packed dance floor with their smooth electro beats.
