13 Aussie schools, representing the wealth and diversity of education in Australia, have been chosen as outstanding examples of philanthropy in action, and are our first Kids Helping Kids Awards finalists!

Our esteemed Judging Panel has completed the first stage of their deliberations. Judge Zoe Eaton, Associate Director of Marketing for Cartoon Network commented, "SchoolAid is an amazing charity; so it should have come as no surprise that their Kids Helping Kids Awards showcased entirely amazing school projects. What I was completely unprepared for, however, was my own personal response to the dedication, ingenuity, commitment and good old-fashioned hard work put in by schools. As hard as it was to choose one effort above another, it was an absolute honour to bear witness to the incredible achievements of Aussie kids."

The Kids Helping Kids Awards is enjoying an incredible first year, with 162 entries received from schools right across the nation. Our finalists are, by category: Microsoft Most Innovative- The Wilderness School (SA) and PLC Croydon (NSW); Outstanding Individual Teacher- Sorell Public School (TAS) and Deepdene Public School (VIC); Sustainability- Rostrevor College (SA), Keyneton Primary School (SA), Forest Crescent Primary (WA) and Huonville High (TAS); Biggest Fundraiser- Masada College (NSW), St Lawrence Primary School (WA) and Maroochydore High School (QLD); Best Local Project- Greenlands Primary School (QLD) and Nangiloc Colignan Primary (VIC)
