Move over Jones', the Steins have set a new benchmark for family comedy!

There is a new hilarious dysfunctional family in the neighbourhood, as Keeping up with the Steins comes to DVD!

With family pride at stake, Adam Fiedler (JEREMY PIVEN), is planning on the Bar Mitzvah of the century for his coming-of-age son, Benjamin (DARYL SABARA star of the Spy Kids films). Following his rival, Arnie Stein's (the outstanding LARRY MILLER), hugely successful 'Titanic' themed Bar Mitzvah for his son, the stakes are high for the Fiedler family.

But Adam gets more than he bargains for on this family occasion. Having cut off ties to his own father Irvin (Hollywood veteran GARY MARSHALL) after he abandoned the family 26 years ago, Benjamin conjures up a plan to reunite the family before the big day. By inviting his Grandfather, now a laid-back grey-haired hippie, and his young, light-headed girlfriend Sandy (the renowned DARYL HANNAH), to stay with the family the week before, the plan is set for a huge family reunion.

Helping his dad with Keeping up with the Steins and bringing the family back together is one thing, but to get through this massive attention focused occasion is another for Benjamin. Being completely tone-deaf, stage-frightened and conned by his friend Zachary Stein (CARTER JENKINS) into misbelieving the meaning of it all, trouble is brewing for this hysterical mad-capped family.

As Benjamin and his grandfather are drawn closer together, it seems Adam and his father are finding no common ground as the big day draws near. It will take Benjamin to see through the façade, and express what he truly wants as he enters manhood, for this family to realise what is really important in life.

Don't miss this honest and revealing comedy that goes to show you don't need a big occasion to come-of-age, and it can happen to anyone at anytime.

Keeping Up With The Steins: Behind The Scenes

Review: A great family film. Keeping up with the Steins', is a story about a Jewish family that are planning a Bar Mitzvah that is more about what the parents want than the child. It explores family relationships and the impact that they have on a young life and how forgiveness can be very difficult but there is more to gain from moving on. Some great performances, with Doris Roberts as always dazzling.
