How Karma Currency Works:
Step # 1: Visit www.karmacurrency.com and click the 'Give' link.
Step # 2: Make a donation and you will be issued with a tax deductible, Karma Currency gift voucher.
Step # 3: From there you can send the voucher to your lucky loved one via mail, email, or print it out and present it personally.
Step # 4: Once the voucher has been presented, whether to your dorky Dad, right through to your saucy siblings, they can take their voucher, return to www.karmacurrency.com and click the 'Redeem' link.
Step # 5: From here, the radiant recipient selects the charity of their choice, donates and hopefully feels an instant hit of good Karma!
Inspiration:
In Australia, over $1 billion is wasted annually on unwanted gifts that end up in the closet, in storage and ultimately in landfill. But imagine if you could give a gift that could protect a forest, find a cure, aid the arts, or perform countless other wonderful acts.
Vision:
Karma Currency's overall vision is to connect people around Australia with the charities and causes that are closest to their hearts (whether it be training a guide dog or a soup kitchen down the street) and in doing so, make charitable acts a part of our everyday lives.
What Does Karma Currency Actually Do?
Karma Currency offers an alternative to stock-standard, general gift giving.
Instead of giving platters, socks, photo frames and other useless gifts this initiative allows companies and individuals to give the gift of Charity Gift Vouchers. This Charitable voucher can be sent to families or friends, customers or colleagues, empowering them to give the donation to the charities they care about most.
In short; Karma Currency offers Australians the chance to give a gift that will literally have a positive, ongoing effect on the lives of others - as opposed to giving a gift someone may not want, use and might even secretly hate.
All Karma Currency gift vouchers over $2 are tax deductible.
Charities that are proudly associated with Karma Currency include:
