SEA Creatures Great and Small at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

There are an amazing 13,000 ocean stars at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and these winter holidays, the aquarium is celebrating all SEA Creatures Great and Small.

Meet Lucky, the Giant Tasmanian Smooth Ray, a mellow and gentle creature who loves nothing more than to eat. Then there's the Queensland Grouper, Beau, who is from the world's largest species of bony fish and is the boss of Shark Valley. Princess Sparkle, the female of the two Giant Japanese Spider Crabs on display, definitely wears the -claws' in the tank. And then there's Rhino, the most cruisey of all the Smalltooth Sawfish. The small creatures are fascinating too – there's Bonny and Clyde the two Banded Shrimp who have been together for three years and won't tolerate any other creatures in their tank. Punk, the baby Pig-nosed Turtle, is a guest favourite and was aptly named because of his Mohawk-like ridge on his shell. And then of course there's the countless Nemos!

This winter, enjoy the warm water of the Great Barrier Reef at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. You can now snorkel the reef, without even leaving Sydney with the ALL NEW Shark Reef Snorkel - an experience that guests can pre-book, bringing them face-to-fin with some of the reef's most amazing creatures.*
