Review:
Jeppers Kreepers 2 is your basic thrill ride of horror and carnage, whilst it is a sequel it is not necessary to watch the first film to understand what is going on, everything is explained as it progresses.
The "Kreeper" a scarecrow like character with leather bat like wings provides the frights, and this is obviously where the majority of the effects, makeup and props budget was spent in the production of the film, and it was well worth the time and money spent.
He really is quite spectacular, and creepy. The throwing stars and daggers that appear to be crafted mostly from the remains of previous victims are also a nice touch.
There are some special features on the DVD that explore the realization of this character further that may be worth checking out for those interested in the technical aspects of such things.
Overall it is a good fun film with plenty of moments to make the audience jump and the odd comical moment has been thrown in to break the tension up a bit. Fans of this type of film should be pleased with the overall result that has been achieved.
