Izzy Day Silence

Izzy Day Silence

Melbourne via Gold Coast singer songwriter Izzy Day, weaves soulful ambient folk songs about deep connection, personal expression and life's endless complexities. Her latest single 'Silence' is testament to this, exploring vulnerable and challenging moments along the journey of love. Izzy Day's soul-stirring voice paired with the song's delicate refrains, evoke feelings of longing and uncertainty while the munkyds' production tempers this with grounding percussion. The result is a perfectly harmonious balance of yin and yang, wonderfully encapsulated in Izzy's new video by the team at Drishti Studio.

The 'Silence' video was filmed in a 100-year-old historic sugar mill in the hinterland of northern NSW. Featuring dancer Kirilly Dawn, the clip was filmed, edited and directed by Vicky Jay of Drishti Studio who was thrilled to create the visual universe for the track. "Creating this piece for Izzy Day felt so natural and exciting," Vicky recalls. "With Kirilly expressing herself so eloquently through dance, mixed with the powerful words in Silence, the video really took on a life of its own. A story told through embodied movement, I loved every moment of creating this video."

"Co-creating with Vicky was awe-inspiring, her dreamy creation captures intimate moments with a cinematic feel. Kirilly Dawn graced us with her embodied sensuous dance, nurturing the heart of the song through movement in an incredibly vulnerable way."
