A tribute to the 'Word Game' In the Hands of the Gods is part coming-of-age tale, part road movie. Armed with youthful idealism, five English football-freestylers (aged 17-22) set out for Argentina wielding some mind-blowing ball skills in the hope of busking their way from New York to Buenos Aires to meet their idol Diego Maradona.
As their joint ambition flounders and their hard-earned cash fails to cover costs, the boys, Woody, Sami, Mikey, Jeremy and Danny, must face up to their changing group dynamic. Lack of funds forces the friends to split up with just to going on to Argentina as the others return to La to continue busking.
This humorous and emotional journey is a testament to the power of dreams and football.
