Melbourne Zoo has revealed details of I, Animal, a world-first, adults only night-time adventure at Australia's oldest zoo.

I, Animal is a unique, immersive experience that is part multimedia tour, part theatrical experience, part animal encounter that will have visitors confronting what it is to be an animal.

Produced in collaboration with award-winning Adelaide-based theatre company, the Border Project, I, Animal uses sophisticated technology developed by Art Processors, makers of the 'O' device at Hobart's Museum of Old and New Art (MONA).

Visitors will find themselves on an unexpected, provocative adventure led by the ethereal voice of their personal device - an iPod Touch known as the Zo'e. The experience is capable of triggering powerful emotions and challenging the pre-conceptions we have about the animal kingdom.
