The team that brought you Shaun of the Dead are back at it again, this time turning their unique talents to comedy/action genre. The result is a satirical look at Police dramas set in a sleepy English village - where the seemingly perfect township, may not be so perfect after all.

On 18-06-07 at approximately 5:45am London's top cop, Police Constable Nicholas Angel (AKA Simon Pegg) was reassigned to the sleepy, seemingly crime free West Country Village of Sandford. Evidence has indicated that Mr Angel has an arrest record of 400% higher than any other officer on the force, his talents are embarrassing and therefore the move was a strategic one enforced by his superiors.

Partnered with local Sandford constable Danny Butterman (Nick Frost) - a thrillseeking, over excited junior that dreams of the action and thrills depicted in his favourite movies - Angel grows suspicious when a series of bizarre accidents begin affecting key members of the community and decides it's time for these small-town cops to break out some big-city justice!

With the same razor-sharp combination of humour and attention to detail they used to breathe new life into the undead, Pegg and Wright turn the cop movie genre on its head. With a solid support cast of well known faces including Timothy Dalton; Jim Broadbent; Bill Nighy & Martin Freeman, audiences will be thrilled as action and comedy combine.

This DVD combines thrills-a-minute action with side splitting British comedy to create an unpredictable tale of murder and mystery.
