Queensland based singer-songwriter Hello Jane has today kicked off 2022 with the release of her new sweet single 'Never Alone' plus announces a return to the stage with a string of shows across QLD and NSW.
Like a warm hug set to music, 'Never Alone' is the perfect song to melt away the distance between listeners, their friends and loved ones. Hello Jane composed the song as a feel-good dedication to her sister who was unable to return home from overseas, due to the pandemic. She explains: "Never Alone was written back in March 2020, the world had stopped for the first time with the beginning of the pandemic and my younger sister was alone in a country far away from home. Like many others with loved ones in different parts of the world, I worried. I worried some more and did the only thing I knew how to do: write a song."
Co-written with her brother, award-winning Bradley McCaw, 'Never Alone' showcases the heart-wrenching sweet vocals and sophisticated songwriting finesse Hello Jane is renowned for. The track was brought to life by award-winning producer Michael Moko and features some of Australia's best session players including Luke Moller (The Weeping Willows, Kate Miller-Heidke), Bradley McCaw, and a whole lot of Michael Moko.
Hello Jane has spent the past two years keeping busy kicking goals despite the COVID lockdowns. Her previous release 'Something Else' took out the 2020 Songwriting Prize at the Tablelands Folk Festival, and she was also a finalist in the 2021 Brisbane City Council's QUBE Effect program.
