Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D
Cast: Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare
Director: Tommy Wirkola
Synopsis: After getting a taste for blood as children, Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become the ultimate vigilantes, hell bent on retribution. Now, unbeknownst to them, Hansel and Gretel have become the hunted, and must face an evil far greater than witches...their past.
Review: Violently creepy and unexpectedly spooky, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D will surprise all adult audiences. Equipped with in-your-face 3D blood spraying deaths of grotesque witches and flying branches, the 3D makes Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters graphically intense.
The film begins as Hansel and Gretel emerge from their well-known frightening past to succeed as popular Witch Hunters. Together the siblings take on an unexpectedly difficult challenge and learn more about their profession than they ever expected.
The costume and sets stylise the film which assists with the fast-paced darkened story of Hansel and Gretel. However the introduction of Edward aids the storyline progression to a fairy-tale like theme, one all audiences can enjoy.
