The German International School Sydney (GISS) is inviting young and old to enter the world of Hansel and Gretel by learning to build and decorate their very own handcrafted gingerbread house, man or Christmas tree.
A series of six Christmas workshops will be held on Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November where budding bakers and decorators of all ages will be inspired to explore their culinary creativity, in the style of the magical fairy-tale, minus the wicked witch. And, there will be no need to make a trail of bread or pebbles, because you won't want to go home!
Unlike the beloved fairy-tale, the GISS Christmas Workshops are only filled with lashings of goodness, fun, laughter and loads of lollies. Christmas connoisseur, Gillian Shakespeare will support each workshop, sharing delicious tips and tricks and inspiring participants in creating the most fantastical and scrumdiddlyumptious Christmas treat EVER. The community based events are suitable for all ages and will provide a wonderful opportunity for families, parents and children to work together constructing their own Gingerbread house.
