Full Moon Wine Festival in Byron Bay

Full Moon Wine Festival in Byron Bay

Luna Wine Store's Full Moon Wine Festival is back.

Saturday 6 May 2023

After the success of last year, Full Moon Wine Festival by Luna Wine Store is back – this time with the country setting of popular Eltham Hotel. Organisers and renowned sommeliers Russ Berry (Luna Wine Store), James Audas and Tom Sheer (Luna Wine Store, Bar Heather, Lo-fi Wines) welcome 30 of Australia's most exciting winemakers and natural wine importers to the region on Saturday 6 May for the Northern Rivers' annual natural wine festival.

'Full Moon is our fun way of bringing the community together to enjoy the company of some of the country's most exciting producers. We want to create an environment where people can engage, learn and ask questions, as well as tasting a few wines, and having a dance.' - Russ Berry, Luna Wine Store

Luna Wine Store is Byron Bay's only natural wine store, focusing entirely on independent organic, biodynamic and natural wine producers. Full Moon Wine Festival is committed to empowering all wine drinkers through real, informed choice. It is about truth, authenticity and frank wine talking, but most of all it's about showcasing really good wine and building the community.

At $75, ticket holders will enjoy a 3-hour tasting session from 2-5pm at the historic Eltham Hotel, and sample wines from around the country. Winemakers will be visiting from Tasmania, Margaret River, Adelaide Hills, Gippsland, Barossa, Mount Gambier and plenty more, welcoming the likes of Dan Graham (Sigurd Wines), Rory Duggan (R. D'Meure), and importers Lo-Fi Wines, Liz Carey (Vivant), and Giorgio de Maria.

Promising to be an afternoon and evening of high energy, beautiful wine, great music and conversation, this is a unique chance to chat face-to-face with those who are connected to the land with which they craft their produce. Once the tasting ends, guests can party until late with Luna's 'Baller Bar' serving unique and rare natural wines from around the world by the glass.

Feast on food by the Eltham Hotel, or local favourite Ciao Mate by Chef Matt Stone, and dance to live music and DJ's playing into the night. Wines shown on the day will be available for takeaway after the festival, and bookings for charter bus rides dropping centrally in Bangalow or Byron Bay are available at 7pm or 9pm at the time of ticket purchase for $12.50.
