Directed by Norihiro Koizumi, who also directed the Tsubaki commercials for Shiseido, Flowers traces the journey of six women from three different generations of their respective periods. It paints a beautiful portrait of the dramatic changes that have occurred in Japan from the 1930s to the present. It brings together Japan's six leading actresses on one screen, a film portraying the challenges of being a woman, yet overcoming adversaries with beauty, poise and grace.
