Final Destination 5 3D
Cast: Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell, Arlen Escarpeta
Director: Steven Quale
Genre: Horror
Synopsis: Death makes a killing in the next installment in the horror series which once again proves that no matter where you run, no matter where you hide...you can't cheat death.
Verdict: I know what you're thinking (because I was thinking it too) - yet another Final Destination movie? However you'll be pleasantly surprised by Final Destination 5; this is one movie series that hasn't lost its disturbing touch and the fifth film, in the franchise, is still as unpleasant as the original.
The 3D feature of Final Destination 5 is an essential addition to the film which ensures all of the alarming deaths are visually unsettling. The 3D affect is especially visual in the beginning of the film where we view the premonition of the bridge collapsing in extreme, blood-splattering, detail.
The creators of this franchise know what audiences except from these films and have lightened the mood surrounding the deaths by making scenes intentionally funny but in a way that actually creates more suspense surrounding each death.
Final Destination 5 follows the same storyline as the previous four films but ends with a twist and provokes questions of human nature. I would suggest this is the last film in the series, as Final Destination 5 wraps up the entire series of movies, perfectly.
The worst part? Final Destination 5 places horror in everyday activities which will most likely leave you scared to move…
Hint: Make sure you stay for the credits!
Final Destination 5 is a spine-chilling horror film that will leave you believing that "you can't cheat death".
