Face The Music ticket holders receive free entry to two live music showcases Friday 19 and Saturday 20 November presented by AWME (Australasian World Music Expo). Friday night's event features the angel-voiced multi-award winning, five times platinum selling songstress Katie Noonan & the Captains, Perth's arresting and inspiring Mama Kin and Melbourne's Microwave Jenny, with silky genre-defying pop harmonies. The following night you're also in for a treat - with a fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds from France/Reunion Island's Nathalie Natiembe, South Korean five piece Yien and Melbourne's duo The Raah Project. Both shows run 6 - 9pm at the Arts Centre Playhouse.

If hip hop's your thing, then you can also check out The Message, a free music/dance/culture showcase on Saturday 20 November (at Signal between 1 - 4pm) with a range of local Melbourne hip hop artists performing including Yung Philly, Mz Rizk and many more.

Now in its third year, Face The Music Conference provides artists and the Victorian music community with a platform for professional and creative career development and networking opportunities. Face The Music Conference will feature over respected international guest speakers, keynote presentations, panel discussions, one-on-one artist development interviews, networking sessions, music showcases and practical workshops. Sessions cover songwriting, international festival opportunities, booking agents, touring, independent releases and labels, distribution and publishing, funding opportunities, career models and industry roles and much more.
