St Kilda's popular Beachcomber Cafe will host an exhibition by local artist Eros Aneschi to be held over two weeks from December 4th to 18th, featuring a stunning and emotive collection of landscape oil paintings inspired by the Otway Coast.

Having lived around St Kilda for over 20 years and exhibiting since 1976, Anceschi has found himself drawn to Victoria's ruggedly beautiful Otway Coast to create his works since 2006. Taking regular three-hour road trips from his St Kilda East home and working from drawings, snapshots and memory, his paintings are then completed in Eros' home studio, resulting in a breathtaking collection, representing aspects of the Eastern Otway Ranges accessed via the Great Ocean Walk around Cape Volney and Moonlight Head.

Situated in the St Kilda Sea Baths complex and overlooking Port Phillip Bay, this ill be the first art exhibition held at the Beachcomber Cafe which has for many years attracted a stream of locals, many of whom are artists and entertainers.

Aside from the restaurant's spectacular views, it has a reputation for fresh seafood and affordable family meals. Director Jim Paraskevas takes the time to get to know his regular patrons, and it has long been a dream of his to utilise the space as a platform to showcase some of his loyal customers' works.
