End of Watch Review
Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Peña, Anna Kendrick
Director: David Ayer
Genre: Crime, Drama, Thriller
Rated: MA 15+
Running Time: 109 minutes
Synopsis: Two young officers are marked for death after confiscating a small cache of money and firearms from the members of a notorious cartel, during a routine traffic stop.
Verdict: Not for the faint hearted, End of Watch is a very intense and dramatic film with touches of humour to lighten the film. Brutal scenes were confronting as I can certainly imagine them being based on real life, I even found myself closing my eyes at times… The action combined with extremely graphic scenes ensures this film is not a chick flick yet a film I did really enjoy.
