Docklands Arts Laugh and Blues Festival

Wonderland Spiegeltent is proud to announce the return of Docklands Arts, Laughs & Blues Festival, offering six days of top-level performances and events taking place at Wonderland Fun Park and Spiegeltent, and various locations around the Docklands Harbourtown precinct from October 1 to 6.

Award-winning British comedian Jeff Green, Dave O'Neil, Lola The Vamp, Dream Boogie are just a few of the acts who will be performing throughout the festival.

Now in its second year, the programme for Docklands Arts, Laughs & Blues Festival offers diverse entertainment for adults-only and the whole family, with free and ticketed events across a several venues and stages each day.

From saucy, circus-inspired cabaret and burlesque to mesmerising magic shows, comedy and some damn fine blues, Docklands Arts, Laughs & Blues embraces this town's love of the arts and promises something for everyone. 

And for aspiring comedians, there's Search For A Funny Bone - a nightly competition to find comedy's Next Big Thing, with a cash prize of $500 plus a spot in the Gala Show on Saturday, October 5 sharing the stage with Jeff Green and Dave O'Neil.

Highlights include PAPILLON, a breathtaking circus cabaret featuring high-flying acrobats, saucy cigarette girls and more, staged nightly; PUGSLEY BUZZARD, returning from his world tour and performing one night only; sizzling burlesque with Vamp and Burn over two nights; and The Pearly Shells will have you dancing your arts off on closing night, Sunday October 6.

In between the plethora of live shows, festival goers can wander along Docklands Drive and discover the pop-up arts spaces featuring exhibitions, performances and installations at Port Hole Gallery, The Food Court, Australian Mallee Art, D11 Artspace and - located at Mission to Seafarers in Flinders ST Docklands - ANL Maritime Art Prize & Exhibition.

Television's favourite zoologist, Chris Humfrey will present a family event not-to-be-missed with his WILD LIFE DOWN UNDER show, staged daily at Wonderland Spiegeltent.

The festival will finish with a Carnival of Blues Festival on Sunday 6 October. Harbourtown Docklands will come alive with the sounds of Blues at this free event taking place at four main stages located at Harbourtown Shopping Centre, Groove Train, Harbourtown Hotel and Wonderland Fun Park, featuring Dream Boogie, Blue Eyes Cry, Cat Fish Voo Doo, Blues Mountain Trio, Greg Dodd's Tail Draggers, MBAS Youth and Blues, Wayne Drury, The Mojo Pearls, Johnny Luke & Johnny T.
