Directed by Academy Award nominee Ron Shelton (Bull Durham) and written by David Tyler (Training Day), Golden Globe nominee Kurt Russell stars as a crooked veteran LAPD detective in the days leading up to the infamous riots in April 1992. Dark Blue features an explosive cast with riveting performances from Golden Globe winner Ving Rhames (Mission Impossible 3), Scott Speedman (Felicity), Brendan Gleeson (Gangs of New York), Michael Michele (Ali) and Lolita Davidovich (Mystery, Alaska).
Adrenaline is high, tempers are hot, and racial tensions are boiling over. Review:
Not just another cop film, this one seems to ring true. Although fictional, the story is believable and uncovers a terrifying look at corruption and police brutality within the LAPD. Can one voice stop a long line of corruption?
