Not many comedians this young can boast a fan base of comedy royalty such as Judith Lucy, Anne Edmonds, Celia Pacquola and Cal Wilson.
Originally from Townsville, Danielle took out Australia's biggest open-mic competition RAW Comedy in 2016 and backed it up by winning Best Newcomer at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Now in 2019, Danielle is back with a brand new hour of morbid, obscure, strange – if not perhaps slightly deranged – observations.
Danielle loves myths and legends – whether based in folklore or something her family has clearly made up. In her new show Myths & Legends, Danielle wants to discuss what she perceives to be the biggest mythological creatures in her own life. For example: Tom Jones = legend, cool dads = myth.
Over the past few years, Danielle has been honing her craft, gigging at every chance she gets around Australian comedy clubs. And it shows. Treating her audiences to twisted stories and that demonic laugh, Danielle's direct comedy style is not for the faint-hearted.
In the past year, Danielle's prowess for the macabre has seen her come to the attention of Australia's comedy cognoscenti; appearing as Ranger Danny on Get Krack!n and scoring riotous spots on Tonightly with Tom Ballard and Comedy Up Late, as well as appearing regularly on triple j. She's also about to embark on a season at London's Soho Theatre before returning to our shores and her podcast Batch Bitch was just named Best Comedy Podcast of 2018 by Junkee.
Already garnering a reputation as a must-see, breakthrough performer on the festival scene – don't miss the latest weavings from the mind of the rising dark princess of Australian comedy.
