Dami Paper Dragon

Dami Im is thrilled to usher in the next chapter of her career, signing to ABC Music and recording her first new music for the label.  Her first release for ABC Music will be single and video 'Paper Dragon', with an album slated for 2021.

Dami says, "'Paper Dragon' marks the beginning of the most exciting and authentic chapter in my career and it deserves the best partner to take it out into the world. I'm feeling the most creative and free right now and I'm thrilled to be working with the team at ABC Music who truly support my vision as an artist."

ABC Music's Natalie Waller, Head of Music and Events, is equally as excited, saying, "ABC Music welcomes Dami Im to our roster with open arms!  To have the opportunity to work with such a prestigious artist, with so many accolades and achievements behind her and yet so much exciting material to come, is an honour.  We are counting down the days until we can unleash 'Paper Dragon' onto the world!"

Dami will take the single on the road in Queensland for some select live shows in September and October.

Dami Im is one of Australia's most respected artists. A piano virtuoso, she also has a Master of Music Studies in Contemporary Voice, and first captured our attention and hearts when she won The X Factor Australia in 2013.  Of that time, she explains, "That feels like a lifetime ago, and I've learned so many things along the way, including who I want to be as an artist".

Her self-titled debut album and single 'Alive' both debuted at #1 on the ARIA charts, and she went on to release three more acclaimed studio albums, performing all around the world. In 2016, Dami became 'Eurovision Royalty' when she earned the highest score ever achieved by an Australian entry, and her single 'Sound of Silence' charted globally.

Dami's recent third tour success (her national 'Dreamer Tour'), an appearance on 'Dancing With The Stars' earlier in the year ("that was so hard, but I'm glad I did it!"), and a dedicated fan base, known as The Dami Army, are indicative of some career highs for her, with this forthcoming single release signalling new adventures for this enduring Aussie artist.
