Doing nothing is usually an office no-no. However, Friday 24 August will be a meaningful exception when offices around the country make 4pm the new 5pm! Australian bosses are proudly supporting Daffodil Day's Non-A-Thon, encouraging employees to clock-off an hour early on Friday afternoon to help raise funds for Cancer Council Victoria.

The Non-A-Thon is an innovative new fundraiser encouraging office workers to do nothing to do something about cancer. The premise is simple – clock-off from work an hour early, donate that hour's wages to the Cancer Council, and enjoy doing nothing.

So go on, clock-off early to do nothing to do something for the 78 Victorians diagnosed with cancer every day.
