Inspired by the resurgence of vintage, retro and 50's fashion, CraftExpo is conducting the Great Apron Challenge. Channel your inner domestic goddess and buy an apron base for just $5, with all materials supplied by exhibitors, you'll have one hour in the Bernina 'Sew & Show Room' to create an apron from a range of products before parading it on the catwalk in front of a panel of judges. Sessions will run four times a day at 10.30am, 12.00pm, 1.30pm and 3.00pm. The lucky winner will walk away with a brand new Bernette sewing machine! Before taking up the challenge, get inspired by the display of fabulous aprons made by exhibitors.
My Place is a fascinating exhibition of 90 textile art quilts from across Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. Each artist has interpreted the theme My Place in a very personal way. The exhibition is presented by acclaimed quilter Dijanne Cevaal.
