When it comes to attracting the opposite sex it's a case of being a cut – and colour – above the rest, according to new research released by the world's number one anti-dandruff shampoo brand, head & shoulders.
Both men and women agree on their preferred hair colour for a partner, with 39% of men opting for a brunette and 60% of women desiring a partner with brown hair. In reflection, Aussie guys believe that brunettes make the best lovers (24%) and are the most appropriate to introduce to their parents (38%). But if your girlfriend is a blonde you might want to watch out, as over a third (36%) think blondes are most likely to cheat.
As it's revealed that 91% of Australian's surveyed claim that hair is a key element to a person's sex appeal, it's no surprise that women find dirty hair (79%) and dandruff (64%) two of the biggest turn offs. Women are also far less likely than men to pursue a relationship if their potential partner turned up with unclean, unhealthy or unkempt hair.
The research marks the release of the new head & shoulders for men collection made up of two products Hair Retain and Total Care 3in1, which both contain a convenient, all-in-one formula designed to tackle dandruff head-on to help leave you flake-free and performing at your best.
