Don't become a victim - change your smoke alarm battery this April
On Sunday 6 April, the Australian Fire and Emergency Services, together with Duracell, are urging all Australians to change their smoke alarm batteries because only working smoke alarms save lives. Don't forget, when you change your clocks at the end of Daylight Savings (Sunday 6 April), make sure your family also remembers to change your smoke alarm batteries.
The Australian Fire and Emergency Services attended more than 12,000 residential fires in 2013 alone. Authorities recommend using a long-lasting 9V alkaline battery in your smoke alarm to ensure year round protection.
To mark this year's smoke alarm campaign, Duracell is giving you the chance to win a Duracell and Quell smoke alarm safety pack.
