Looking for a different way to exercise, feel great, sexy and confident in 2007?
Spin your way to a fabulous body and a new sexy confidence with Polestars Australia, the countrys leading pole dance Fitness Company. The company has a range of classes from straight pole fitness, to Latino Pole (with Salsa), Moves and Grooves and now Burlesque Pole/Showgirl*.
Polestars teaches pole dancing for fun and fitness only and promotes pole dancing tuition "for women, taught by women". In the last two years Polestars Australia has taught just fewer than 12,000 women to pole dance, from 18 to 75!
Polestars runs classes, courses and parties (hens, office parties and team building events) in venues in Sydney CBD, Parramatta and Manly, Adelaide, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Polestars will also happily do a party at YOUR House - with or without affiliate PASH Parties. The pole, the lesson and the fun can be had without even leaving your lounge room!
Stephanie Kite, Polestars instructor and co-founder of Polestars Australia, a former competitive gymnast, said: "Poledancing is an invigorating and fun alternative for women to get fit, while building confidence and self esteem, as well as feeling sexy and having a giggle. "
"Weve [Polestars] always had a complete cross section of women taking the lessons - office workers, corporate professionals, stay at home mums, grandmothers, students....really, anyone! Polestars classes are run by women for women, so they are not intimidating. Women feel very comfortable that they can let loose a bit without the worry of being perved on!"Pole dancing is simply one of the most fun exercise activities most women will ever try. It makes them feel empowered and graceful at the same time; its social, energetic and motivational and tones the complete body (working upper body muscles in ways you never thought possible!).
Polestars instructors are all qualified pole dance and general fitness instructors. They range from full time fitness instructors to PR people, marketers, events producers, fashion designers and business managers, but they all have a bit of pole-fitness fun in their spare time!
*NEW CLASSES AND COURSES FOR 2007
Polestars classes and parties are evolving according to its customers. The company now runs hybrid classes that combine salsa and pole and burlesque classes that also teach tricks with fans, chair work, off-pole moves and more performance based moves. The Burlesque Taster class is a foretaste of the new four-week Showgirl Burlesque course which teaches all sorts of fantastic skills including chair work, feather fan dancing, pole dancing with silks, floor work and linking moves.
Classes start at $40 for a two hour taster class to $239 for a 6 week course. Parties start at $400 for 10 people.
