Most of you with kids are aware of Club Penguin, if not, then get set for the new craze in kids toys. A virtual reality paradise for kids (by Disney) club Penguin prides itself on being a safehaven for kids, that's free and fun to use.

Penguin mania hit Sydney last week as excited fans of Club Penguin™, one of the largest and fastest-growing virtual worlds for children, flocked to Toys 'R' Us to be the first to get their hands on the much anticipated line of Club Penguin plush toys. The toys' introduction marked Club Penguin's first anniversary of launching local support in Australia.

Following the success of the virtual world of Club Penguin in Australia, the new plush toys bring to life the characters and environments found in the popular, snow-covered online playground, where children can explore, play games and interact with friends in the guise of colourful, animated penguin avatars.

The penguin toys consist of limited edition character Plush Penguins, which come in a range of unique and detailed costumes. Complementing the range are the Puffles, the penguin's loveable pets, in addition to collectible Figurines and Playsets including;
Band Member Party Pack
Secret Agent - Rookie
Snowboarder - Pajama Bunny Slippers
Pharaoh & Mummy
Gary the Gadget Guy.

These adorable playsets come with a Club Penguin coin that unlocks items online, so collect them all for some great add ons to your online fun.

"Club Penguin is all about the kids, and the launch of the new product line means that Aussie penguins can now take the fun and creativity of the online world into the real world. The entire range is inspired by Club Penguin's sense of community, socializing and celebrating," said Robb Beeston, Head of Disney Online Studios, Asia Pacific. "We're really excited to bring the new plush toys to Australia, and it's great we can celebrate our one-year milestone of having a localised operation in Australia by delivering more of what our fans want."

Club Penguin fans were invited to help launch the new products at the Toys 'R" Us store in Sydney's Moore Park. The event offered the first look at the new Club Penguin toys, giveaways and the chance to enter a draw to win the sought- after toys. Hundreds were on hand.

From today, the all new Club Penguin toys will be available nationwide at Toys "R" Us and in K-Mart stores beginning September 1. Each item in the limited-edition toy line includes a coin imprinted with a code kids can use to redeem virtual items on clubpenguin.com. The code gives kids the opportunity to access unique items not otherwise currently available to Club Penguin players. Both members and non-members can redeem the coins.

The Club Penguin virtual world is visited by millions of children around the globe and is valued by parents for its proven commitment to safety. Last August, the company launched a localised operation in Sydney to provide additional support and moderation to the millions of players in Australia. As the virtual world's popularity has grown, so has demand for products.
