Close Counters Picture Me Tour

After an incredibly busy and successful past year, the fresh faced duo from Close Counters are all set to release their new track -Picture Me' off of their second EP and it promises to be an absolute banger! Inspired by the likes of Disclosure, Flying Lotus and Jamiroquai, the pair have combined elements of synth-funk and house to create a dance-floor worthy track featuring Hobart musicians DJ Grotesque on turntables and vocals from art-pop singer BINI.'

Emerging from the depths of Tasmania are Allan McConnell (20) and Finn Rees (18) who are known for their electrifying fusion of electronic, trip-hop and jazz. The two met only a few years back in 2013 and it was there that something struck a chord. Since their recent beginnings, Close Counters have supported the likes of The Kite String Tangle, The Aston Shuffle, Tkay Maidza and Shaggy. Their first single -Fluctuate' was named Track of the Day on international music blog Indie Shuffle, and the track's music video was aired on ABC TV's RAGE program. Close Counters have had play on American Radio, lead the Purple Sneakers Alice Underground Party with their 'Synth-gasm worthy harmonies" and capped the year off playing Falls Festival.

It's safe to say 2016 is set to be a big year for the young music duo who have commenced working on their forthcoming EP. The EP will feature artists such as Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire and UK based artist Max Marshall. -Picture Me' is the first track off of their second EP and there is no denying it's a 'Straight up party tune from the word go" – Veronica Milsom.
