Multi-talented rapper/songwriter/dancer Chloe DMND continues to bridge the gap between being an influencer and musician with her latest release and music video 'Receipts'. The offering comes after the success of her latest single 'Type Bitch' which accumulated significant traction despite being independent.
Produced by Melbourne's HFNR and featuring vocals from Aston, 'Receipts' is a story about a cheating boyfriend that is caught out when receipts for his mistress are found. Like her past releases, Chloe's ability to tap into emotions and capture the situation makes 'Receipts' a relatable and passionate rendition.
Having gained a loyal following on Social Media and often being compared to Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, Chloe is positioned as an internationally friendly artist as well as locally popular due to the ever growing hip hop scene in Australia. She is also eager to prove she is more than "just a rapper" having had a passion for hip/hop, singing and dancing from the age of 7.
"I want people to view me as not just a rapper but an Artist, I not only rap but I also sing and am a songwriter" - Chloe Dmnd
Question: How would you describe your music?
Chloe DMND: My music is hard-hitting and tells a story, it is very empowering to females, especially!
Question: What inspired Receipts?
Chloe DMND: A past experience with a guy I was seeing who ended up playing me, I had to tell the story because I felt a lot of women probably have been through the same thing.
Question: Can you tell us about filming the video for Receipts?
Chloe DMND: We filmed the video in Sydney with Cerne Studios. Filming took us a full day and believe it or not it's actually all done at the one place, just different areas. The creative direction was Daniele and I styled all my own outfits and I gave Aston a colour pallet to work with.
