Celebrity Century

Australians can enjoy some of the most sophisticated cruising experiences in local waters; whether it is enjoying a martini at a frozen ice bar, being pampered in the 9,000 square foot floating spa or enjoying the finest wines and the most exquisite meals at sea, Celebrity Century offers a deluxe at-sea holiday experience that will be second to none in Australia and New Zealand. Celebrity Century, the highest rated superliner for service, dining and accommodation based in the region, debuts in Sydney on 30 November 2011 and in Auckland on 12 December 2011.

As the cruising sector continues to grow in Australia, so too does the demand for new, sophisticated choices in local cruising. According to Adam Armstrong, commercial manager of Celebrity Cruises Australia, demand from past guest helped prompt the return of the premium cruise line to the region after a three year hiatus.

'Celebrity Cruises is well known around the world as the cruise line of choice for holidaymakers who appreciate the finer things in life: good food, fine wine, great design and exceptional service," he said. 'We're proud to bring such a market-leading ship back to the region and offer our guests an affordable, upscale choice in local cruising."

One of the world's fastest growing major cruise lines, Celebrity Cruises and its soon to be 10 ship fleet have won many accolades and is often rated as one of the top cruise lines in the world in readers' surveys (including the elite Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Frommers Guide).

Guests are welcomed onboard with a complimentary glass of champagne on Celebrity Century, setting the tone for the journey ahead. The stylish Celebrity Century possesses classic ocean liner glamour, blended with innovative modern features, such as the first ever 'ice bar" at sea, a liquid bar counter frozen into rock-hard ice; the Murano specialty restaurant for the ultimate in fine dining; Michael's Lounge, a refined lounge with the atmosphere of a gentleman's club; museum quality art collections including pieces by Warhol, Picasso and Jasper Johns; a 9,000 square foot indulgent AquaSpa offering almost every imaginable beauty and wellness treatment; and the spectacular 1,000-seat, two storey Celebrity Theatre hosting lavish shows and theatrical productions.

Celebrity Century offers 900 cabins, about half of which have their own private balcony, and guests can also opt to stay in one of the 174 new Concierge Class balcony staterooms that come complete with fresh-cut flowers, a luxurious pillow menu, exclusive onboard privileges and even personalised stationery. For guests travelling with children, Celebrity Century offers a wonderful X-Club kids program and teen centre for children aged three to 17.
