Cadbury has announced its legendary Cadbury Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt will return to Melbourne this year, with an event promising to be bigger and better than ever for families to enjoy as they kick off their Easter festivities. The event – an annual sell-out – will take place at Werribee Park on Friday 19 April.
Family-favourite entertainment group Hi-5 will bring their unique brand of music and fun to the Werribee Park stage, with two performances in front of an expected crowd of 7,000. The all-singing, dancing and acting quintet will perform at the event for the first time since Cadbury began running the community event in 2001.
Upping the ante on family entertainment and activities, the Easter event of the year will include new and exciting carnival rides for the ultimate fun, family day out. Additionally, there will also be an animal farm, an interactive rabbit craft maze, where kids can experience a real-life maze and decorate the fences, puppet-making and a Cadbury Photo Booth to capture all the action.
It also wouldn't be an Easter event without the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and Cadbury's generous supply of its delicious Easter chocolate. 450,000 Cadbury Easter Eggs will be up for grabs in egg hunts for three to 12-year olds, which will take place throughout the day, so families should bring their hunting boots and buckets!
Guests can also expect to see the Cadbury Easter Bunny hopping around throughout the day to deliver extra joy during his busiest time of the year!
An exciting day for a worthy cause, all proceeds will go towards the Royal Children's Hospital's Good Friday Appeal, funding new anaesthetic machines and monitors which will improve the difficult procedure of administering anaesthetic to babies and children. The Cadbury Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt has raised over $1 million for The Royal Children's Hospital since 2001.
Families wanting to take part in 2019 are encouraged to get in quick to secure their tickets, with the event sold out in hours in 2018.
