Review:
Robert Redford at his best, shows the dark side of prisons. The story starts of very dark, and at times you may find yourself flinching and feeling the pain of the characters. About 30-40 minutes later the story takes a turn and becomes much easier to watch. Even though the characters are prisoners and are bad by nature, you can feel for them was you watch their sad lives.

A stirring film that makes you want to stand up and be counted. Characters are brought to life well and there is a ring of truth to the script.

Review:
One of the better prison based movies to date, with Robert Reford giving his all. Although violent & crude, the film captures the true spirit and nature of life imprisonment.

A stirring but disturbing film as you watch corruption win and people suffer and pay the ultimate sacrifice. Characters are real and hit home.Michelle Warmuz
