The hit film from helen Fielding's classic novel. On New Year's Day, hung over and still single, Bridget Jones - a 30 something London girl - decides to get a grip on her life and start a diary.

"Resolution number one obviously, will lose twenty pounds. Number two: will find nice sensible boyfriend and not continue to form romantic attachments to alcoholics, workaholics, peeping toms, megalomaniacs, emotional f*** wits or perverts".

But it's not that easy for Bridget, choosing between bona-fide ses-god with big car Daniel Cleaver and aloof-looking-but thoughtful sensitive man Mark Darcy.

Mark Darcy takes form as a modern day 'Mr Darcy, Pride & Prejudice' and is truely adorable including flaws. Although one cannot feel just a little sorry for the rascal of the trio, Daniel Cleaver whose reaction to those extra large undies is priceless. Rene Zellweger protrays Bridget Jones very naturally, with some surprisingly funny and alarming comments coming out of what seems to be a 'nice girl'. The trio combined make the perfect mix setting 'Bridget Jones's Diary as a classic for generations to come.
