'Headspace' was written by Billy Davis and Jordan Dennis and produced by Billy Davis and 10tendo.

Speaking about the development of the new track, Billy explains:
"It was the end of November, I pretty much told my band, The Good Lords, I didn't want to see or hear from them until I was ready. My head had pretty much reached a point of explosion. The pressures of the many things I do had reached a breaking point.

"During this time away I wrote 'Headspace', a song exactly about the importance of having some time to yourself, some time to disconnect and recharge away from the pressures of people, social media and the rest of it. I came back with this song and more importantly, refreshed. I encourage anyone who resonates with it, to not only listen to it on repeat, but embrace disconnecting and giving yourself some time… some 'Headspace' – you won't regret it."

Billy Davis has established himself as a tastemaker in the local urban scene. His unique sound, positive approach, and sheer drive has piqued the interest of many international artists, who have become not just contemporaries but friends.

He has collaborated with Goldlink and Brockhampton, music directing and performing with them both on triple j's Like A Version, as well as music directing and performing in Goldlink's NPR Tiny Desk. Rising rapper Denzel Curry appears on one of his standout tracks, 'Goldfish'.

2018 saw the release of Billy Davis' single 'Shoulda Known' ft. American R&B sister duo VanJess and American rapper Matt McGhee. The track has been widely embraced by the likes of Australian radio stations triple j, 3RRR, PBS, FBi, RTRFM, SYN FM, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide and Edge Radio. The track also received airplay on Jamz Supernova's show on BBC 1Xtra and received support from worldwide tastemaker blogs Hilly Dilly, EDMBoutique, SoulBounce, When The Horn Blows and more.

Billy has shared the stage with Anderson Paak, NoName, Blackalicious, Thundamental, Touch Sensitive and most recently Jessica Mauboy. He has also performed at Australia's most recognised festivals including Let Them Eat Cake, Golden Plains, Laneway Festival and Lost Paradise, and received accolades from Hypebeast, High Snobiety, LNWY, Acclaim, Purple Sneakers and Red Bull Music, just to name a few.

Billy's musical inklings began young. Born in the western suburbs of Melbourne, he was raised by his single mother after his father tragically passed away when he was only three.

A musical juggernaut, Billy's band The Good Lords is constantly evolving, morphing and expanding, and features up to 11 members on stage at any given moment. Collaboration, with his band and other artists, it at the heart of everything he does.
